Terms And Conditions

We do not accept block bookings at the moment and all provisional bookings will automatically be released after 7 days if not confirmed. Last minute bookings are those made one week prior to guests’ arrival and check-in, their payments must be made through bank transfer and confirmed by our reservations team and reflected on the bank account not later than one day prior to guests’ check-in date. Should the guest(s) arrive before balance payment is received, the amount due will be billed and collected from the guest upon their checkout.

All reservations should be made in writing and acknowledged by the reservations team of Embogo Lodges. Please make your booking or check for room availability by writing to us on reservations@embogolodgesuganda.com

Our official check-in time and is 12:30pm and checkout time is 10:00am daily. Late checkout or early check-in maybe requested by the guest. Please ask lodge management in advance if availability allows we shall be delighted to honor your request.

Often guests have special requests like dietary, orthopedic mattresses among others, go ahead and make special requests through our reservations office of directly with the lodge manager if already at the lodge premises.

Our child policy allows us welcome children from the age of 3years for which children below 5years stay free while those aged 5-11.9years pay 50% of the adult fee while sharing rooms with parents and 75% while in their own room(s). We recommend that children below 12years stay in a room with at least one adult since our rooms are far apart.

Payment Terms

All payments must be made in the currency in which the quotation was accepted through electronic or bank transfer. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Union Pay for which you should keep in mind that we use a third party provider and additional transaction fees may apply.

Payment terms are as follows:

• 20% non-refundable deposit upon receipt of invoice
• Final balance due 30 days prior to arrival
• Accommodation bookings within 30 days of arrival – full payment due upon receipt of invoice
• If payment is not received in accordance with our terms and conditions, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and release the rooms
• All rates are subject to increase without notice due to factors beyond our control such as, but not limited to, Government levies and taxes.

Cancellations

• Cancellations or a reduction in services are charged as follows:
• Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to arrival – Deposit forfeited
• Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to arrival – 100% of the invoice
• No refunds are due for any unused accommodation

Acceptance of Terms

Acceptance of a quote from Embogo Lodges by the payment of the associated deposit or balance invoice constitutes consent to all provisions of the conditions in our booking terms irrespective of the booking terms are signed or not.

The terms under which the client agrees to these itineraries cannot be changed or amended except if an authorized manager from Embogo Lodges does so in writing.

Force Majeure:

We regret we cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance or proper performance of our obligations is prevented or affected by any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, border closures, unexpected government acts, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, extreme weather conditions, fire, technical and/or mechanical problems to transport, road closures, disease and all similar events beyond our control.

Jurisdiction:

The principal company is incorporated in the Republic of Uganda and it operates under the laws of Uganda. Your contract with us and matters arising out of it will be governed by the laws of Uganda.
